Isn’t it Love? Foto-Talk with Ceren Saner

25. October 2017 , 19:00

Isn’t it Love? is the sensual encounters with queer people and the queer scene in Istanbul. Ceren Saner (* 1991), a photographer and video artist from Turkey, first started photographing a private queer themed party organized by a group of friends and then continued her work in public parties of LGBTIQ+ in Istanbul. In order to preserve the privacy of those photographed and yet to comprehend the events, Ceren Saner concentrated on the expressions of love instead of the faces behind.

In her lecture, Ceren Saner talks about her medium of photography, about her life in the Turkish metropolis and about the everyday life and activism of the LGBT scene in Istanbul.

The lecture will take place in English.

Admission: 5 € / reduced 3 €

An event in cooperation with Heinrich Böll Foundation. With kind support of Rudolf Augstein Foundation.
