FOTO-TALK: ON THE COUCH is the new event format of f3 – freiraum für fotografie. Regularly a photography expert and a photographer are discussing important content and aesthetic questions related to photography.

Especially at the beginning of a career in the field of photography / photographic art, it is a particular challenge to build professional networks and find the right partners for projects, publications and exhibitions. To make the right decisions here, which emphasize the character of one’s own work and lead to the visibility of one’s own photographic oevre, requires special tact.

Barbara Stauss, picture editor of the magazine mare, talks with photographer Johanna-Maria Fritz about the development of her work and its publication platforms over the past two years. Looking back on this time span, they reveal the opportunities and opportunities of professional development after graduation or training.
