It can still be in the early stages or already be advanced. The passionate bookmaker <strong>Nadine Barth<\/strong>, who advises, among others, the renowned art book publisher <em>Hatje Cantz<\/em> in the field of photography, accompanies the participants&#8217; projects for 10 months.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The 10 teaching days (5 blocks of 2 days each) revolve around all aspects that are essential for the successful realisation of a book project: the editing, the story line, the text\/image relationship, the design as well as the technical equipment of the book (papers, printing processes, bindings). <strong>Nadine Barth<\/strong> imparts her extensive knowledge of all questions of cooperation with publishers and self-publishing in a practical manner against the background of her experience in more than 25 years of work in the industry.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The aim of the <strong><span class=\"\">f<\/span><span class=\"\"><sup class=\"\">3<\/sup><\/span>-\u2013 MASTERCLASS MAKING BOOKS!<\/strong> is to further develop the participants&#8217; book projects in an intensive dialogue between the lecturer and the group. At the end of the masterclass, the participants will present the resulting books to a broad audience in the form of a presentation or a book dummy at <span class=\"\">f<\/span><span class=\"\"><sup class=\"\">3<\/sup><\/span>\u00a0\u2013 freiraum f\u00fcr fotografie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Lecturer<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Nadine Barth<\/strong>, is a curator and publicist. She worked as a journalist and gallery owner for many years before founding her agency <em>barthouse culture concepts for art and communication<\/em> in 2006. She is the editor of over 80 publications on photography and fashion, e.g. <em>Vanishing Landscapes<\/em>, 2008; <em>German Fashion Design<\/em>, 2011; <em>Daniel Josefsohn: OK DJ<\/em>, 2014; <em>Andres Serrano: Salvation<\/em>, 2016; <em>Jean Molitor: bau1haus<\/em>, 2018; <em>Stuart Franklin: Analogies<\/em>, 2019, <em>Roger Ballen: Roger the Rat<\/em>, 2020, and curated international exhibitions, most recently for <em>Fotografiska New York: Miles Aldridge<\/em>, <em>Virgin Mary, Supermarkets, Popcorn<\/em> (from May 2021).
